WICHITA – The American Athletic Conference named Brady Palen the Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this year following his win at the Shocker Open.
 
The junior from Beloit, Kan. cleared 2.15m/7'0.5", his fourth jump over 7 feet this outdoor season, winning the event by 6.5 inches.
 
Palen currently ranks second in the conference (behind NCAA leader, Romaine Beckford), second in the NCAA West Region and ninth in the entire NCAA (DI).
 
He and the rest of the Shocker track and field team travel to Tampa, Fla. to compete for the AAC Outdoor Championship May 12-14.
