TURLOCK, Calif./WICHITA, Kan. – Destiny Masters recorded the eighth-best heptathlon score in program history to win the Stan State Multi Friday in Turlock, Calif., while the majority of the Shockers opened competition at the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan.

Masters' score of 5,258 points beat second place by 465 points as she won her first collegiate heptathlon competition, recording the top mark in five of the seven events.

Nate Vann and
Hudson Bailey also wrapped up their multi-event competitions at the Stan State Multi with Vann placing third with 6,830 points and Bailey finishing fourth with a personal-best 6,711 points.

On day one of the KT Woodman Classic,
Jackson Caldwell won the 10,000 meters with the seventh-fastest time in school history, crossing the line in 29:58.24.
Sarah Bertry also added her name to the WSU all-time top-10 list in the 10,000 meters, placing second in 36:07.07.

In the 800 meters,
Farrah Miller ran a personal-best 2:12.64 to place second, and in the 3,000-meter steeplechase
Miranda Dick improved her personal best time by over 20 seconds to finish third with a time of 11:03.99.

Blake McCormick recorded the best field event finish on day one, placing second as the top collegiate competitor with a throw of 60.49m/198'5".
