WICHITA, Kan. - For a third time this season the American Athletic Conference has tabbed Alex Aguilar its Pitcher of the Week.

Aguilar was spectacular in three appearances last week. The freshman was 3-0 with a sparkling 0.37 ERA in 19.0 innings. She threw two complete games, allowing only one earned, while striking out eight. Aguilar opened the week with a standout performance at No. 3 Oklahoma State. She allowed only one run against a top 10 offense in the complete game victory. In Saturday's win over East Carolina, Aguilar recorded her sixth complete game shutout of the season, allowing only three hits and no walks. She put a bow on the weekend with 4.0 scoreless innings of relief to go with four strikeouts.

Additionally, Lauren Lucas was named to the weekly honor roll for the second straight week. In three games, she hit .400/.455/.900 with a triple, home run and two RBI. Lucas homered in Saturday's win and went 2-for-4 on Sunday with her seventh triple of the season, tied for the most on the team.

Wichita State is scheduled to host No. 1 Oklahoma Tuesday night for the 2023 home finale at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
