WICHITA – Wichita State multi-event athlete
Destiny Masters was tabbed Women's Field Athlete of the Week Monday by the American Athletic Conference.

The sophomore from El Dorado, Kan. cleared a conference-leading 1.79m/5'10.5" in the high jump on her way to winning the heptathlon at the Stan State Multi in Turlock, Calif.

Her high jump clearance tied her outdoor personal best and ranks 16
th in the nation (11
th in the West Region) and scored 966 points towards her personal best heptathlon score of 5,258 points, which ranks 23
rd in the nation (10
th in the West Region).

Masters also threw a new personal best in the javelin (39.03m/128'1") and recorded the top mark in four of the seven events.

Masters and the Shockers return to the track Thursday in Lawrence, Kan. at the Kansas Relays.
