WICHITA, Kan. -- Oklahoma State put up four multi-run innings in the first six frames and never looked back, defeating Wichita State 10-1 on Wednesday night at Eck Stadium.
The 20th-ranked Cowboys (17-5) seized control early with two runs in the top of the first inning. A Nolan McLean RBI double and Nolan Schubart sacrifice fly against Wichita State starter
Cameron Bye (0-3) opened the scoring, then Oklahoma State pounced for two more in the third on a Roc Riggio two-run homer that made it 4-0.
Brock Rodden answered with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth for Wichita State, extending his hitting streak to 14 games and trimming the deficit to 4-1.
That was the only run the Shockers could muster against Oklahoma State starter Carson Benge (1-0), who struck out five over his five innings while allowing three hits.
The Cowboys blew the game open with a trio of home runs in the fifth and sixth. McLean launched a two-run shot in the fifth for a 6-1 lead, then Riggio and David Mendham went back-to-back in the sixth with a three-run and solo homer, respectively.

Matt Boyer each turned in two scoreless innings in relief out of the Shocker bullpen.
The Shockers are back in action on Friday against Massachusetts. First pitch from Eck Stadium is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
