TULSA, Okla. – The Shockers are sending four men's tennis players to Tulsa, Oklahoma to play in the ITA All-American Championships from Saturday, Oct. 1 to Sunday, Oct. 9 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Tulsa's campus and the Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park.

Kristof Minarik,
Orel Ovil and
Alex Richards join a list of 252 other pre-qualifiers that will begin competition this Saturday. Each will need to win four matches to claim one of 16 openings in the 128-player qualifying draw. Following three more rounds of qualifiers (Oct. 3-4), the 16 remaining players will advance to the main draw where they will battle it out for the singles title (Oct. 5-9).

On Monday and Tuesday, Minarik and Richards will pair up for the doubles qualifiers, where they will need to win three matches to earn a spot in the 64-team main draw.

This is the Shockers' first trip to ITA All-Americans since 2019, when Marius Frosa won two qualifying matches and played with Murkel Dellien in the doubles main draw.
