Wichita State will open the 2022 American Athletic Conference Championship on Thursday, May 12 as the No. 2 seed.

The Shockers (32-15, 14-4) will face No. 7 Memphis at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN+. Wichita State swept the Tigers during the regular season.

Wichita State enters the tournament as the defending tournament champs after defeating UCF in 2021, 7-4, and will look to defend its crown. Wichita is 3-1 all-time in the American Athletic Conference Championship. This will be the first meeting between Memphis and Wichita State in the AAC Tournament.
