FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Nine Shockers concluded their seasons over the final three days of the NCAA West Preliminaries in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Amanda Kakoulias was the sole Wichita State track and field athlete to compete on the Thursday as she wrapped up her collegiate career with a 35
th-place finish in the shot put (15.27m/5''1.25"). On Friday, American Athletic Conference discus champion
Matty Everett kicked off competition for the Shockers, placing 27
th with a throw of 52.88m/172'10".

Two Shockers competed in the high jump with
Brady Palen clearing 2.10m/6'10.75" to place 17
th and
Davis Dubbert jumping over 2.00m/6'6.75" to finish his collegiate career with a 45
th-place finish.

Yuben Goncalves finished up Friday's competition with a 23
rd-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 15.39m/50'6", and the Shockers' 4x100-meter relay team of
Faith Turner,
Paula Garcia,
Sydney Johnson and
Brianna Utecht wrapped up the weekend on Saturday, running a 45.43 to place 18
th.
Michael Bryan and
Taran Taylor will move on the final round of the NCAA Championships June 8-11 in Eugene, Oregon after qualifying in the hammer and javelin, respectively, on Wednesday.
