The Wichita State women's tennis team wraps up its regular season schedule Sunday afternoon with a dual match at Kansas City (formerly UMKC).

Due to injuries, WSU (7-12) has played its last five matches with just five available players. The Shockers' 6-1 win over Emporia State in Wednesday's home finale snapped an eight-match losing streak.

Harriet Hamilton (19-8) looks to become the first Shocker since 2017 to post 20 singles wins in a season. She has a team-best 11 dual victories while splitting time between the Nos. 3-6 spots.

Sophomore
Jessie Zheng (15-9) has solidified the No. 3 spot in the singles rotation with wins in four of her last six decisions.

WSU has used 16 different doubles combinations this season.
LingWei Kong has the team's best overall doubles mark at 12-11.

Kansas City enters the weekend with a 3-11 record and has lost its last five matches. The Kangaroos host Denver on Saturday before entertaining the Shockers on Sunday.

Fifth-year senior Grace Ball has played the majority of the matches at No. 1 singles for the Kangaroos. The Andover, Kan. native is a former high school teammate of WSU's
Dohee Lee.

The Shockers are 12-0 all-time against Kansas City, including 10-0 under head coach
Colin Foster. This is the 11
th-consecutive year that the schools have squared off. WSU won 4-2 last April in Kansas City.

After Sunday's match, the Shockers will have 10 days off before competing in the American Athletic Conference Team Championship, Wednesday through Saturday, Apr. 20-23 in Tulsa, Okla.
