NORMAN, Okla. – The Wichita State track and field team is sending a full squad back to Oklahoma for the John Jacobs Invitational Friday and Saturday at the John Jacobs Track and Field Complex.

After a week off from competition for the majority of the team, the Shockers are fresh and ready to go up against athletes from 19 teams, including K-State, Oklahoma State and the 2021 NJCAA men's outdoor championship winning team, Barton County CC.

Friday's field events will kick things off, starting with the men's hammer, women's shot put and women's long jump at 5 p.m. The gun will be up for the first running event at 7:30 p.m. as the women's 5,000-meter runners take to the oval.

Saturday's competition will begin at 10 a.m. for the field athletes and 12:20 p.m. for the track athletes.
