WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State sophomore outfielder Lauren Lucas has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced Monday afternoon.

Lucas hit .455 (5-for-111) over the weekend in Lincoln vs. Nebraska and South Dakota State. The Little Elm, Texas, native had a double, two home runs, three walks, four runs and six RBI. She had a career-high three hits and three RBI in the first game vs. South Dakota State. Lucas homered in back-to-back games vs. Nebraska and South Dakota State to open the weekend.

This is the first weekly honor for Lucas.

Following a midweek matchup at Missouri State on Wednesday, Wichita State travels to Lawrence for the Jayhawk Invitational, March 11-13.
