WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State women's basketball has a finalized 2021-22 schedule with the release of the 2022 American Athletic Conference slate.

The Shockers and the American return to a 16-game format for the 2021-22 season after implementing a 20-game double round-robin format in 2020-21.

All 16 conference games will be televised on ESPN+ with the exception of Wichita State's Jan. 9 contest at USF, which will be on ESPNU at 11 a.m. CT.

League play begins on Jan. 5 at home vs. Houston, before back-to-back road games at USF and Cincinnati (Jan. 13). Rounding out the month of January will be home matchups with Memphis (Jan. 16), ECU (Jan. 25) and UCF (Jan. 29); and a trip to Tulane (Jan. 22).

The month of February begins at Temple on Feb. 2, Tulsa on Feb. 6 and at ECU on Feb. 9. Wichita State's lone game vs. SMU will be in Charles Koch Arena on Feb. 12. The Shockers visit UCF on Feb. 16 and Memphis on Feb. 19, leading to a big home contest vs. USF on Feb. 23.

AAC play concludes with a quick trip to Tulsa on Feb. 27, while the home finale will see Tulane come to town on March 2.

The 2022 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship returns to Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on March 7-10. The tournament games will air on the linear ESPN Networks and on ESPN+.
