Wichita State basketball coach Keitha Adams joins us to talk about the Shockers after their summer workouts, which largely focused on shooting skills. Wichita State adds six newcomers to the roster, five of them freshmen, and Adams talks about each of them. The Shockers return six of their top seven scorers from last season, including guard DJ McCarty and post Trajata Colbert. Both of them played their best basketball late in the season and Adams discusses what factors helped them get rolling.

One of the top newcomers is Jane Asinde, an NJCAA All-American from Grayson (Texas) College. Adams discusses how Asinde fits into the front-court plans along with Colbert and returner Asia Strong.

To start the podcast, Adams talks about her relationship with Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame coach Don Haskins, who coached UTEP for 38 seasons and won the 1966 NCAA title with team chronicled in the book and movie "Glory Road."
