WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State University head men's golf coach
Judd Easterling announced Tuesday, July 6, that Josh Gliege has been named the program's new assistant coach.
"We are really excited to welcome Josh to the Shocker golf family. He will bring a ton of knowledge from what he learned under [coaches] J.T. Higgins and Brian Kortan at Texas A&M and [coach] Dan Potter at Boise State," Easterling said. "Josh will come in and work extremely hard for us and relate well to our current players as well as recruits. I'm excited to work alongside him and can't wait to get him on the road to recruit future Shockers!"
Prior to joining the Wichita State, Gliege played five years of collegiate golf for the Texas A&M Aggies (2016-2020) and Boise State Broncos (2020-2021).
"I'm thrilled to be joining the Wichita State family," Gliege said. "I can't thank Coach Easterling enough for believing in me. I'm excited to get to work and help bring some American Athletic Conference championships back to Wichita!"
Gliege was a member of two teams that advanced to NCAA regionals, qualifying for the Pullman Regional with Texas A&M in 2019 and the Albuquerque Regional with Boise State in 2021.
A native of Eagle, Idaho, Gliege was a two-time Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar and three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection.
He qualified for the 2016 U.S. Amateur, and was a three-time qualifier for both the U.S. Junior Amateur and PGA Junior Championship.
Gliege graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor's degree in business management.
