PINEHURST, N.C. - Michelle Ledermann finished as the top Shocker and the team finished ahead of Cincinnati after the first round of the AAC Women's Golf Championship at Pinehurst No. 6 on Sunday.

Ledermann was tied for third after her front nine, making two straight birdies at eight and nine to sit at even par. However, a triple bogey at 10 dropped her out of the top of the rankings. She finished the round in 31st place with a score of 78 (+6.) Her two birdies put her in a tie for the team lead with
Madison Slayton and
Mar Vidal.

Kenni Henson was next-in-line for the Shockers and finished T37 at 81 (+9.)
Mar Vidal and
Madison Slayton both finished one shot behind and T40. Vidal led the field in Par 3 scoring in the first round, shaving two strokes off her score on these holes.
