SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Wichita State men's golf team sits in second place after nearly two full rounds at the Twins Oaks Intercollegiate.
The Shockers (+5 heading into their final hole) were one of six teams still on the course when play was halted due to darkness. Play resumes at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Loyola Chicago completed all 36 holes and leads the 18-team pack at 3-over-par.
Marcus Wochner (-1) finds himself tied for fifth-place on the individual leaderboard – five shots behind Loyola's Devin Johnson (-6) with 19 holes to play.
Wochner fired a tournament-best 67 in the opening round on three birdies and an eagle to help WSU (285, +1) to a three-way tie for first-place in the team standings.
Dawson Lewis (+1) is tied for 13
th out of 108 entries with still two holes to play in his second round.
Zac Owens (+3) was the only Shocker to complete all 36 holes. He's tied for 24
th after an up-and-down day that included seven birdies.
Jack Glenn (+4) is tied for 32
nd and
Brock Polhill (+7) is tied for 54
th.
