IRVING, Texas – Wichita State University redshirt sophomore pitcher
Ryan Stuempfig has been selected to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his performance on the mound during the week of March 8-14, the conference office announced Monday, March 15.

Stuempfig, a 6-foot-3 right-hander from Flower Mound, Texas, earned his second win of the season and helped the Shockers upset 13th-ranked Arizona, 10-9, Friday, March 12, in Tucson, Ariz. He tossed three scoreless innings in relief and allowed just two hits while compiling two strikeouts and only one walk on 51 pitches.

On the season, Stuempfig has yet to give up a run and has six Ks in 9 2/3 innings of work.

Wichita State (7-5) is scheduled to travel to DeLand, Fla., for two games each against FIU and Stetson March 19-21.
