Wichita State's
Morris Udeze has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for the week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5.
Â
Over two games last week, the 6-foot-8 junior forward out of Houston averaged 16.0 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 59 percent from the field.
Â
On Wednesday night, he scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half to lead a comeback win over Oklahoma State. Sunday evening against K-State he sank 7-of-8 shots for a game-high 19 points and also snagged seven boards.
Â
It's the first weekly honor of the season for Udeze and the second in his Shocker career. He was conference player of the week on Jan. 14 of last season.
Â
Udeze has scored in double-figures in each of his last three contests. He's averaging 10.3 points and leads the team in both rebounds (5.8) and field goal percentage (.550).
Â
The Shockers take a mid-week break before returning to action Saturday evening against Norfolk State at Charles Koch Arena (6 p.m. CT, ESPN+). Tickets are still available at 316-978-FANS or online at goshockers.com/Tickets.
