Paul Miller and Ryan Martin of the 2005-06 Wichita State basketball team check in for updates and memories of that NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 season.

Miller, the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, recalls the time a teammate neglected to wake him up on time and the importance of confidence to that team. Martin, a member of the MVC's All-Bench team, talks about Miller's 30-point performance in a win over Southern Illinois and the thoughts going through his mind before a dunk that sealed the NCAA win over Tennessee.

Wichita State 2005-06 – 26-9, 14-4 MVC (1st), NCAA Sweet 16 with wins over Seton Hall and Tennessee. It was Wichita State's first MVC title since 1983 and first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1988.
 
F Ryan Martin (Kansas City ) - MVC All-Bench team: 5.5 points, 4.7 rebounds. 
Highlights: 10 points in NCAA Tournament games vs. Seton Hall and Tennessee (10 points on 5-6 shooting, 4 rebounds, a block, a steal vs. the Volunteers; his steal ended the Drake game, with the Shockers up two, in the final seconds of the game that clinched a share of the MVC title; 13 rebounds, 9 points vs. Illinois State to clinch the MVC title outright.
 
C Paul Miller (Jefferson City, Mo) - MVC Player of the Year, honorable mention AP All-American; averaged 13.1 points, 6.6 rebounds; 1,317 career points to rank No. 20 at Wichita State and 724 rebounds to rank No. 13.
Highlights: Career-high 30 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks in a 71-63 two-overtime win over SIU; tip-in at Drake to clinch at least a share of MVC title; 15 points vs. Seton Hall in NCAA Tournament opener; 21 points vs. Michigan State in regular season.
