Basketball season is weeks away and women's team newcomers
Bella Belong,
Sophie Benharouga and
Karys Washington join the podcast in advance of Shocker Madness on Oct. 4. We discuss their favorite pro basketball players, their musical tastes and book and movie recommendations.
Bella describes her goal of opening an orphanage in Cameroon, while Karys' career plan is becoming an orthodontist. Sophie reveals the story behind her uniform number, which is one rarely found on the basketball court.
Belong is a 6-3 junior forward from Cameroon and South Plains College. Benharouga is a 6-2 forward from France and Seattle University. Washington earned All-Jayhawk Conference honors at Coffeyville Community Conference last season. She is from Fort Smith, Arkansas.
