CINCINNATI, Ohio - Wichita State women's tennis picked up its first win in Cincinnati by beating Xavier, 5-2, at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club on Wednesday.
 
Doubles
Alexandra Lazarova and Natsumi Kurahashi picked up a quick win over Xavier's Moyer/Fitz-Randolph to put the Shockers up top. Xavier quickly responded with a win on court one, but Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and Ting-ya Hsu won on court two, 6-4, to pick up the doubles point.
 
Singles
The Shockers dropped the first court that was decided but won the next three to claim the win. Bellucco was first and she earned it in a 6-2, 6-1 win over Rachel Reichenbach. Esther Thebault won her court, 6-3, 6-3, and Saidhujaeva claimed the win for the Shcokers with a 6-3, 6-3 victory as the No. 2. The remaining courts continued to their finish and Hsu picked up a win at No. 6 with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
