WICHITA, Kan. - Fresh off a stellar Wichita State debut, junior forward Asia Strong has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced Monday afternoon.

The South Bend, Ind., native scored a game-high 20 points on 9-of-15 shooting to go with six rebounds. Wichita State defeated Texas A&M Corpus Christi, 78-58, in the season opener behind Strong and three other Shockers in double figures.

Strong and the Shockers host Alcorn State tonight at 6 p.m. in Charles Koch Arena on ESPN+.
