WICHITA, Kan. – Longtime Wichita State Athletics administrator
Becky Endicott will retire on December 26, 2020, Wichita State Director of Athletics
Darron Boatright announced on November 23.
She has worked at Wichita State for 26 years in multiple roles including Senior Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman's Administrator (1999-present), Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services and Compliance/SWA (1998-99) and Director of Student Services (1994-98).
"During the past 26 years, I've been privileged to work with the very best staff, coaches and administrators at one of the finest institutions in the nation," Endicott said. "I will always treasure the opportunity of being part of the tremendous amount of success that women's athletics and Olympic sports have had at Wichita State University."

Her commitment to students and the advancement of women's Athletics is her passion. I am proud to have served with her and hope that in some way I can carry her torch. Endicott joined the WSU Athletics staff in July 1994 as the Director of Student Services after interning in the WSU marketing and student services offices during the 1993-94 school year. She oversaw the advisement of student-athletes concerning their academic course load and other academic issues, while also monitoring eligibility status and financial aid for all student-athletes. During this time, she also coordinated the development and implementation of the WSU Champs/Life Skills Program.
In 1998, she was elevated to Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services and Compliance and Senior Woman's Administrator. She added to her responsibilities including serving as the staff liaison with the Office of Civil Rights, University faculty and staff, the Missouri Valley Conference and the NCAA. She also maintained and applied procedures for compliance with NCAA and Missouri Valley Conference rules and served as the sport administrator for men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf and men's and women's track and field.
In 1999, she was promoted to her current position of Senior Associate Athletic Director/SWA. Among Endicott's duties, she is responsible for correspondence and institutional athletic education and compliance of Title IX, coordinating the yearly Athletics Gender Equity Plan and Minority Opportunities Plan and overseeing NCAA APR and GSR data collection.
She also oversees the Sport Medicine Program, works regularly with the WSU ICAA Board on collaborative projects and events and works with community leaders and constituents to generate annual funding for Wichita State University sport programs and annual scholarship giving, while serving as the sport administrator for volleyball, softball and women's basketball.
A native of Wichita and graduate of Heights High School, Endicott taught and coached at Buhler (Kan.) High School from 1979-83 before moving to Hutchinson Community College, where she was the head volleyball coach for 10 years and the head softball coach for eight years. She coached 10 softball National Junior College All-Americans, and claimed a Region VI softball title while at Hutchinson Community College. Endicott served for three years on the NCAA Division I Softball Committee.
Endicott, a 1979 graduate of Emporia State in physical education, also lettered four years in tennis and softball at ESU. She earned her master's degree in sport administration from Wichita State in 1994.
"It has been an incredible joy over the years to work with student-athletes who have blessed my life in ways they will never know," Endicott said. "Thank you to each of them who allowed me to be a part of their lives even if it was just for a short four years."Â
