WICHITA, Kan. – Sophia Rohling hit .310 and posted a match-best 12 kills to lead the Black Team to a 3-1 win over the Yellow Team in a Wichita State Volleyball Black and Yellow Scrimmage Thursday evening, Oct. 1, inside Charles Koch Arena. The set scores were 21-25, 25-23, 25-18 and 25-17.Â

Rohling, a sophomore from Thayer, Kan., was one of four players in the scrimmage to reach double-digit kills, with teammate
Morgan Weber tallying 10 kills, and the Yellow Team's
Nicole Anderson and
Megan Taflinger each compiling 12 and 10.

Weber, a freshman from Dike, Iowa, added 12 digs to go along with her 10 kills in the contest, securing her second consecutive double-double, while Anderson (12 kills, 10 digs), Taflinger (10 kills, 13 digs) and
Kayce Litzau (18 assists, 13 digs) also had double-doubles, respectively.Â

Senior
McKayla Wuensch tallied a match-high 23 assists, and Litzau posted a match-best three service aces.
Sinalauli'i Uluave added a match-high 14 digs, while
Emma Wright had a match-best two block solos and eight block assists.Â

The Black Team tallied a match-high 16 blocks, while Yellow totaled a match-best six service aces. Â

Another Black and Yellow Scrimmage is slated for Friday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. at Charles Koch Arena. Admission is free, but capacity is limited to 2,000 spectators, and masks are required throughout the facility.Â
