WICHITA, Kan. – Six women's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2018-19 season, it was announced Thursday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The women's team also earned the ITA All-Academic team award for achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above. The 2018-19 season marks the sixth season in a row the Shockers have earned the ITA All-Academic team award.

Student-Athletes must meet three different criteria to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status. The student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

Marta Bellucco (3.94, marketing),
Tiffani Holman (3.71, biological sciences),
Sandra Honigova (3.69, management),
Ting-Ya Hsu (3.76, general studies sociology),
Alexandra Lazarova (4.0, Exercise Science) and
Esther Thebault (3.80, general studies French) were all named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2018-19 season. Bellucco, Lazarova, Honigova and Hsu earned Scholar-Athlete status in 2017-18.
