WICHITA, Kan. – Four men's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2018-19 season, it was announced Thursday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The men's team also earned the ITA All-Academic team award for achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above. The 2018-19 season marks the third season in a row the Shockers have earned the ITA All-Academic team award.
Student-Athletes must meet three different criteria to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status. The student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

Haru Inoue and
Eddie Stoica were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the their academic achievements. Frosa, a native of Galati, Romania, recorded a 3.52 GPA in general studies sociology, while Stoica and Inoue were named Scholar-Athletes for the third-straight year. Inoue posted a 3.63 GPA in sport management, while Stoica collected a 3.71 GPA while majoring in management. Ovil, a freshman from Israel, recorded a team high 3.88 GPA in management for the academic year.
