For the eighth-consecutive year, Wichita State will be represented at the annual NBA Summer League. Men's basketball alumni Conner Frankamp and
Markis McDuffie have signed on to play for the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers respectively.

Both teams will compete in Las Vegas, July 5-15. In addition, Frankamp and the Lakers open with three games in three nights at the California Classic in Sacramento, July 1-3.

The entire NBA Summer League slate will be televised with select games on the ESPN family of networks and the rest on NBA TV. The Lakers team appears at least four times on ESPN networks, beginning with Tuesday night's contest against the Warriors on ESPN2 (8 p.m. CT) and continuing with Las Vegas matchups against the Bulls (July 5/ESPN), Clippers (July 6/ESPNU) and Knicks (July 10/ESPN2). Indiana's Monday, July 8 clash with the Pistons has a late-afternoon timeslot on ESPNU.

Frankamp – who has also signed on the compete for the AfterShocks in the TBT Wichita Regional later this month -- recently wrapped up a successful rookie season in Bulgaria, averaging nearly 20 points per game on his way to all-league honors. The Wichita native played parts of three seasons for WSU (2015-18) and ranks sixth on the school's career three-point field goal chart.

A two-time all-conference performer for WSU from 2015-19, McDuffie averaged over 18 points-per-game as a senior and helped guide a young Shocker team to the 2019 NIT Semifinals. He became just the 13
th player in program history eclipse 1,500 career points.
With chapters in Sacramento, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, the NBA Summer League's abbreviated exhibition schedule serves as a training ground for young professionals and gives executives an opportunity to evaluate their own players, as well as potential free agent pickups, in a competitive environment.

Frankamp and McDuffie are the 12
th and 13
th Gregg Marshall Era Shockers to make an NBA Summer League roster. Six of them went on to make regular season rosters at some point – most recently Landry Shamet, a first round draft pick who split time with the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers in 2018-19.
