Eberlein Drive, one of two teams who played in the first TBT in 2014, finished as runner-up in 2018. The team is a collection of former pros from a variety of colleges.
The AfterShocks make their first appearance in the championship game in their sixth TBT. A 2022 semifinal appearance was their previous best finish.
Recap: The semifinal got heated with technical fouls on Nichols and Marcus Azor of We Are D3 and one on Nike Sibande of the AfterShocks. The emotions – and frustrations – didn't bother the AfterShocks, who took charge with a 21-5 edge in the second quarter to build a 35-17 lead.
Two former Shockers got the AfterShocks rolling in the second quarter after both teams shot poorly in the first quarter.
McDuffie played a key role by scoring five points and recording two assists and a steal. Conner Frankamp also scored five points in the quarter and registered two steals and two assists.
Woodard scored all 12 of his points in the second half, including five of the team's eight during the Elam Ending period. He made all five of his shots in the second half.
Keene ended the game with a foul shot after Nichols earned a technical by shoving Keene.
The AfterShocks forced 15 turnovers, eight in the second quarter.
