What's next: The AfterShocks win the best-of-3 series 2-1 to set up Monday's 8 p.m., game vs. JHX Hoops (Kansas alumni) at Koch Arena in a quarterfinal.
The winner advances to a semifinal against either La Familia (Kentucky) or Boeheim's Army (Syracuse).
While the AfterShocks have played alumni teams from rivals such as Creighton, Memphis and Houston, the matchup is the first meeting between the AfterShocks and either KU or Kansas State alumni teams in The Basketball Tournament.
Recap: Keene came up big in the third quarter with 12 points to help the AfterShocks outscore The Enchantment (New Mexico and New Mexico State alums) 24-13 in the quarter. Peterson scored all nine of the points in the Elam Ending, putting the game away on a long three-pointer.
The AfterShocks trailed 30-16 in the second quarter before rallying within seven points (38-31) at halftime. After going 0 for 5 from three-point range in the first half, the AfterShocks made 6 of 13 in the second half and Elam Ending.
The AfterShocks outscored The Enchantment by seven points at the foul line with Keene making 5 of 7. Center Marcus Santos-Silva came off the bench to score 12 points, grab 11 rebounds and hand out four assists. Rashard Kelly grabbed 10 rebounds and recorded two steals.
Vance Jackson, who scored 29 points and made 7 of 8 threes on Thursday, scored seven points and missed seven of his eight three-point shots.
The AfterShocks committed five turnovers in the first quarter, but one in the third and fourth periods.
