WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State juniors
Marius Frosa and
Murkel Dellien knocked off Stefan Tsorotiotis and Alex Bakshi of Oklahoma Tuesday at the NCAA Doubles Championships in Orlando.

The Shocker duo moves on to the Round of 16 after taking down No. 25-ranked Tsorotiotis and Bakshi in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. With the win, the Shocker duo moves to 10-1 on the season, with wins over four ranked foes.

Dellien and Frosa, who rank No. 35, grabbed an early break in the first set to take a 3-0 early lead. The Shocker duo reeled off three of the next four games to take the first set in dominant fashion, 6-1.

Tsorotiotis and Bakshi held in the opening game of the second set to take an early lead. Frosa and Dellien held and grabbed a break for a 2-1 lead. The pair held serve the remainder of the set for the 6-4 win.

Frosa and Dellien become the fourth Shocker duo to reach the Round of 16 at the Doubles Championships, and the first since Tin Ostojic and Tomislav Gregurovic in 2015.

Next up for the Shocker pair is Payton Holden and Ryan Seggerman in the Round of 16 slated for Wednesday. The Princeton duo took out No. 4-seed Oli Nolan and Henry Patten of UNC-Asheville in first round action. Times will be announced at the conclusion of doubles play this evening.
