WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State men's tennis doubles tandem Murkel Dellien and Marius Frosa are set to begin play at the NCAA Doubles Championships on Tuesday, May 21 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
 
Dellien and Frosa, who currently sit at No. 35 in the latest ITA/Oracle Rankings, will open play in the 32-team field on Tuesday against Oklahoma's Alex Bakshi and Stefano Tsorotiotis with a time yet to be determined. The Shocker duo compiled a stellar 9-1 record in the top slot, with wins over three ranked opponents.
 
Bakshi and Tsoriotiotis currently rank at No. 25 and finished the regular season with a 7-3 dual match record. The second team All-Big 12 Sooner duo holds wins over five ranked tandems, including three wins inside the top 10.
 
Dellien and Frosa, from Bolivia and Romania, respectively, become just the second duo since 1983 to reach the Doubles Championships, and the first since Tin Ostojic and Tomislav Gregurovic who reached the Round of 16 in 2015.
