NORMAN, Okla. – Three members of the Wichita State men's tennis team advanced to the singles round of 32 at the ITA Central Regional Championships on Friday, in Norman, Oklahoma.
Orel Ovil, Elio Lago, and Marius Frosa fought hard to each come away with a win and stay alive in the tournament.
Ovil was the first to find victory defeating Tom Thelwall-Jones from Tulsa University, 6-2, 7-5, with Lago following close behind defeating Max Stewart from Oklahoma University, 6-3, 6-4. Frosa was the final Shocker to advance after cruising to a win over Eddy Leardini of Oral Roberts University, 6-1, 6-2.
