Shocker volleyball associate head coach Sean Carter discusses weekend games vs. Iowa State and No. 14 Creighton in Omaha:

On facing Iowa State and Creighton:

"It gives us another set of challenges. They play a little bit different style than BYU and Stanford play. I'm excited to see two teams that are just as high level as BYU and Stanford, but throw a couple little different things at us."

On a schedule that includes wins over VCU and West Virginia and losses to No. 3 BYU and No 4 Stanford:
 
"You're always going to wonder what a young team is going to do. Are they going to be nervous? Are they going to have jitters? Are they going to attack the opportunity? We absolutely attacked it."

On the play of libero Giorgia Civita:
 
"If you have the best running back in the country, you're probably to going to hand the ball off to them a lot. That's all we're trying to do – get more balls hit at Giorgia, so she has more opportunities to dig the ball. She controls it better than anybody we have, so why not give it to her more?"

On the play of redshirt freshman outside hitter Megan Taflinger: 
 
"My favorite thing about Megan is that's she's just always locked in. She wants to be good. She wants to be competitive. You can push her. She likes that, because she knows it's best for her."
