People who work in Wichita State's ticket office often deal with two misconceptions regarding the scarcity and locations of men's basketball season tickets.
First, there are tickets available. Second, there are good seats available.
Around 160 seats are available, starting at $740 (including Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization contribution), located in row 30 and above.
A limited number of seats are available in the lower bowl that require a separate contribution to the athletic department. Contributions start at $30,000 and can be pledged over five years.
"The Prime Seating Program allows for new people, as well as current season-ticket holders, to either move down or, if you're coming in fresh, get lower-bowl seats," said
Alex Johnson, director of athletic development. "Prime Seating allows us to get people in rows 20 and below. This is a great opportunity for individuals to get prime seating and also support the athletic department."
Prime men's basketball season tickets in Charles Koch Arena are occupied by supporters that have been long time season ticket holders and/or have given significant contributions to Wichita State Athletics. As these seats become vacant, they become available with an additional contribution. This opportunity allows supporters to have access to lower level seat locations while remaining fair to those who have supported for many years.
