SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Wichita State women's golf team shot the fourth lowest 54-hole score in school history at the Payne Stewart Memorial. Their 891-team score earned them a fourth place finish out of 15 teams. The Shockers had three golfers finish in the top-20 while Michelle Ledermann tied for 14th competing as an individual.

Senior Laine Evans tied for her best career finish by coming up in sixth place after shooting even-par in the final round. Evans' 54-hole score of 217 was a new career-low, beating her 218 score set at the Mountain View Collegiate last spring. Freshman Hana Mirnik shot 2-under par on Tuesday, giving her a 12th place finish in her collegiate debut.
 
Senior Gavrilla Arya shot a 74 for the third consecutive round, putting her in a tie for 14th place. Junior Michelle Ledermann shot just 1-over par in the tournament's final round, allowing her to tie with Arya.

Junior Annika Chickering shot a 79 for a total of 233 while freshman Chiara Arya shot a 78 for a 54-hole score of 238 in her collegiate debut.
 
The Shockers will travel to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to compete in the Coeur d'Alene Invitational, hosted by Gonzaga, starting Sept. 24.
