HUNTINGTON, W.V. - Wichita State men's golf won its first tournament since claiming the Missouri Valley Conference Championship in 2017. The Shockers shot 19-under par as a team and compiled a team score of 549 to win the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, having four players finish in the top 15.

Competing in his first collegiate golf meet, sophomore
Zac Owens took home top individual honors after shooting 3-under par in the final round that earned an overall score of 134. Senior
Adrien Michellod had his highest career finish, tying for third after compiling a total of 137. Michellod came off a career-low round in Monday's first round by shooting a 64.

Yannik Emmert had his highest finish since the 2017 MVC Championship, putting himself in a tie for ninth and giving himself his sixth career top 10 finish. Emmert finished his opening tournament outing shooting 1-under par and had a total score of 138.

In his collegiate debut, freshman
Dawson Lewis shot 2-under par in the first 18 holes on Monday. He capped that performance off with an even-par finish that put him in a tie for 14th. Freshman
Brock Polhill compiled a total score of 148 in his collegiate debut.

The Shockers head to the Ram Masters Invitational on Sept. 18-19 in Fort Collins, Colo., where they face five teams that made appearances in the 2018 NCAA Regionals.
