WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State softball pitcher
Bailey Lange has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll after helping the Shockers to a series win over (R.V.) Nebraska in Lincoln.
Lange, a junior transfer from Souix Falls, S.D., led the Shocker pitching staff with two wins, pitching 12.0 innings, giving up eight hits and only two runs. She struck out nine batters in a 6-2 victory in game one, tying a season high, in her fourth complete game of the year.
In the 8-0 run-rule by Wichita State to clinch the series, Lange pitched all five innings, only giving up two hits and striking out three while offensively going 1-for-3 with two RBI. She leads the Shocker pitchers in wins [5] and strikeouts [55]; she also has a 3.14 ERA on the year.
This is the first honor roll of Lange's career and the third for Wichita State this season.
