WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State first base
Ryleigh Buck has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll after helping the Shockers to three wins at the Bearkat Classic this past weekend.
Buck, a sophomore from Wellington, Kan., led the Shockers in a number of categories through the five games played including batting average [.467], hits [7], runs scored [3], slugging percentage [.600], total bases [9] and on base percentage [.500]. She also stole two bases [2-2] and had 38 putouts at first base.
Buck also hit her first career double against Northern Colorado and followed it up with the second of her career against Seton Hall; she also set a career high at-bats with four against the Bears.
Overall Buck leads the team in batting, slugging and on base percentage and has a joint team high eight hits on the season.
This is the second weekly honor roll nod for the Shockers and the first of Buck's career.
