NICEVILLE, Fla. – Five Shockers begin play today in the ITF Niceville Futures at the Bluewater Bay Tennis Club.
 
Seniors Andrea Caligiana and Eddie Stoica join juniors Murkel Dellien, Marius Frosa and freshman Orel Ovil in the 128-person qualifying draw beginning today and going through Nov. 4. The main draw kicks off Nov. 5 and runs to Nov. 11.
 
In opening action, Stoica takes on Alvaro Fernandez Horta (ESP) at 10:30 a.m. Dellien will follow with a 12:30 p.m. match against Neel Rajesh (USA). At 2:30 p.m., Caligiana faces off with Patrick Daciek (USA) and Frosa battles Arsav Mohanty (USA). Ovil, who is the five-seed in the draw, has an opening round bye.
