WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State baseball team is scheduled to travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in an exhibition game Friday, Oct. 5, beginning at 6 p.m. at Baum Stadium. Arkansas was the national runner-up in division I baseball last season.

Admission to the 14-inning exhibition contest will be free, however spectators are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and new or gently used coats to benefit the Salvation Army and the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Campus Food Pantry. All items will be collected at the stadium gates.

Seating throughout the stadium will be first-come, first-serve and parking will be free. Gates will open at 5 p.m.

Light concessions will be available via cash only and fans will be allowed to bring in outside food and beverages with the exception of alcohol. No coolers will be allowed in the main seating bowl.

The game will mark the final exhibition contest before Wichita State's annual Fall World Series, which is scheduled for Oct. 18, 19 and 21 at Eck Stadium. The annual Shocker baseball Halloween SCREAMage game, sponsored by the Wichita Mom's Blog, is slated for Saturday, Oct. 20, at Eck Stadium.
