KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Wichita State women's golf team ended its fall season with the lowest 18-hole round of the season on Tuesday, earning a tie for fifth in the Palmetto Intercollegiate.

The Shockers' 290 final round score is now tied for sixth-lowest in program history and their 893 overall ranks sixth-lowest on the all-time 54-hole score list.

Senior Laine Evans earned her second top-20 finish of the season after earning a tie for 13th and senior Gavrilla Arya achieved her third top-20 finish after climbing up to a tie for 19th. Evans shot a 74 in the final round to lead the Shockers with a 220 overall score, while Arya shot an even par for a total of 222.

Junior Michelle Ledermann earned 30th after shooting a 73 in the final round and Hana Mirnik moved into a tie for 40th after shooting 1-under par in the final 18 holes. Junior Annika Chickering finished in a tie for 80th after shooting a 79 and compiled a total score of 241.

Host institution College of Charleston edged out Campbell for the tournament title by 11 strokes. The Shockers finished in a tie with Charlotte, who ranks 47th in Golfstat's team rankings.

Wichita State continues their season on Feb. 22 with the Rio Verde Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz.
