COLUMBIA, Mo. - After shooting even-par in the first round of the Johnie Imes Invitational on Monday, senior
Gavrilla Arya is currently on pace to claim her 14th top 20 career finish. Arya shot a 72 in the first 18 holes, which put her in a tie for 13th.
Her last top 20 finish came in the season opener, where she came in a tie for 14th place with a 222 at the Payne Stewart Memorial.
Freshman
Chiara Arya tied her lowest 18-hole score, shooting a 78 that put her in a tie for 56th. Junior
Annika Chickering competed as an individual, where she shot an 82 and is tied for 68th.
Tournament host Missouri leads the team standings after the first day, with Florida Gulf Coast trailing by only four strokes. Wichita State is currently in eighth place, compiling a 298 team score.
