Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The No. 48 ranked Wichita State women's tennis team swept Evansville 7-0 today at the Tri-State Athletic Club. The win marks WSU's 82nd consecutive Missouri Valley Conference victory.

Wichita State (9-7, 3-0 MVC) captured the doubles point with Giulia Guidetti/Marta Bellucco handling Daria Pentsova/Andjela Brguljan 6-1 in the third flight. Fatima Bizhukova/Gabriela Porubin topped Chieko Yamada/Theodora Soldatou 6-4 in the top flight to clinch the point. In the second flight, Tanaporn Thongsing/Ting-Ya Hsu led Diana Tkachenko/Nicoli Pereira 5-3, but went unfinished after the point was decided.

The Shockers got the clean sweep in singles play, including Guidetti - the No. 120 ranked singles player in Oracle/ITA ranks - defeating Yamada in the top flight 6-2, 6-3. Guidetti is now 19-11 overall, and is now 8-5 when playing in the top flight. Marija Mastilovic picked up her second career singles win in as many days, beating Andrea Pascual-Larri 6-1, 6-3 in the sixth flight. Bizhukova won her fifth-straight match, defeating Pentsova 6-1, 6-0 in the fourth flight. The freshman newcomer is 12-4 in duals, including a sparkling 9-1 record when playing in the fourth flight. No singles match went to a third set.

The loss drops Evansville to 10-12 (0-1 MVC).
