WICHITA, Kan. – The Black squad evened the series with a 4-2 win over the Yellow in game two of the Fall World Series.
Hunter Gibson went 2-for-3 with four RBI and a home run to lead the Black, while
Robby Evans pitched five innings with no earned runs. Jacob Lindemann pitched two innings to pick up the save.
Yellow starter
Connor Lungwitz went five innings and gave up four earned runs, while
Trey Vickers went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a walk.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Gibson hit a two-run home run off of Lungwitz to make the score 4-1 and that's all that the Black would need.
First pitch of the rubber match is Sat., Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. at Eck Stadium. Liam Eddy will start for the Yellow and
Preston Snavely will start for the Black.
