Final Tournament Stats

Fort Collins, Colo. – The Wichita State men's golf team finished third at the Ram Masters Invite after shooting their highest score of the weekend in the final 18 holes.

The men started the day tied for first after a strong showing through the opening two rounds, before eventually finishing third after a team total of 290 in the final round saw them finish 13-over par at 853. 

Wichita State's 4-under 276 in the opening round was the second-lowest 18-hole team score in the tournaments history.
 
Jacob Bishop led the Shockers tying for 9th after shooting 73 in his final 18 holes. Bishop finished 2-over par at 212.
 
Yannik Emmert was narrowly behind, finishing 3-over par at 213 after carding 73 in his final round. Emmert tied for 12th place individually.
 
Gage Ihrig finished tied for 21st after shooting 75 in the third round. Ihrig ended at 216 which was 6-over par.
 
Conrad Walcher and Grant Bennett both shot 72 in the final round. Walcher ended tied for 28th, with a total of 217 which was 7-over par. Bennett, whose first round struggles set the tone for his tournament, finished tied for 32nd with 218, 8-over par.
 
Competing individually, Erik Angesten finished in 98th place. Angesten shot 80 through all three rounds to finish at 240, 30-over par.
 
The hosts of the tournament, Colorado State, eventually finished in first place after shooting the lowest round of the weekend in their final 18 holes. The Rams shot 277 as a team to end at 844, 4-over par. Nevada just edged the Shockers for second after carding 285 in the third round which gave them 851 overall, 11-over par. Wichita State finished two strokes behind at 853, 13-over par.
 
The Shockers now look to round out their busy September schedule with another trip West to the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational on Sept. 26-27. The tournament is hosted by Colorado in Boulder, Colo., at the Boulder Country Club.
