CHARLESTON, W.V. - The Wichita State men's golf team ended day one of the 2016 fall season in 9th place at the Joe Feaganes Invitational after shooting a team total of 577 over the first two rounds. 

Yannik Emmert began his sophomore year in fine style shooting 70 in both rounds to finish the day tied for 14th place at even-par. 

Grant Bennett, the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, ended day one of his senior year tied for 21st place after shooting 75 in round one and 67 for round two. He finished at 2-over par. 

Jacob Bishop was not far behind, shooting 71 in round one and 72 in round two to end the day tied for 25th place at 3-over par. 

Conrad Walcher ended the day tied for 66th after shooting 76 in each round to finish the day at 12-over par. 

Max Mason finished day one in tied 73rd after shooting 76 in round one and 78 in round two. He finished with a 14-over par. 

Eastern Kentucky ended day one in first place by shooting a total of 552, 8-under par. Virginia Tech finished day one in second shooting a team total 554, 6-under par. Dayton rounded out the top three with a team total of 564, 4-over par. 

Day two begins tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. ET.
