Deana Alexander (Track, 1992-98; Basketball,1992-96)

An NCAA All-American in 1994 and 1998 in the javelin, Deana is the only four-time javelin champion in the history of the Missouri Valley Conference, winning in 1993, 94, 97 and 98. At the time of her induction, Deana held the MVC javelin record of 176-10, which she accomplished in 1998 at the Valley championship. An outstanding student, she was named CoSIDA Academic All-American in 1997 and 1998. Alexander also represented the United States with a fourth-place finish in the javelin in the 1993 Pan American Games as a member of the junior national track team, and was member of the women's basketball team at WSU. Her career 39.2 percent three-point percentage was also a WSU record at the time of her induction. She was also honorable mention academic All-Valley two seasons, and first team academic all-conference in 1995-96. Inducted, 2002.
