WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State golfer Grant Bennett has been selected as the men's Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week. This is Bennett's third time in his career that he's been selected as the Valley's Golfer of the Week.
 
Bennett earned his first career win at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate on Oct. 12-13 in Overland Park, Kan. He shot a career-best 206 at the 54-hole tournament. His victory was also the 12^th top-ten finish in his career.
 
A junior from Prosper, Texas, Bennett is a two-time MVC All-Conference selection. Bennett's previous best career finish was third place, which he has accomplished twice, including at the 2015 MVC Championship.
 
Wichita State took first place at the Intercollegiate, and will play next at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate on Oct. 19-20 in Las Cruces, N.M.
