KANSAS CITY, Mo. –Missouri scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th to defeat Wichita State 5-4 in the College Baseball Hall of Fame Classic at The K.

Garrett Bayliff went 2-for-5 with two RBI, while Casey Gillaspie went 4-for-5.

Starter Kris Gardner went four innings and gave up one run on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

The Shockers jumped on the board in the top of the first. Daniel Kihle led off with a single through the left side and stole second. With one out, Garrett Bayliff singled through the right side to score Kihle for a 1-0 lead. Casey Gillaspie followed with a single through the right side to move Bayliff to third and Chase Simpson's sacrifice fly to right field scored Bayliff for a 2-0 lead.

The Tigers cut into the lead in the bottom of the second. With two outs and a runner at first, Dillon Everett doubled to left-center to score Josh Lester and cut the lead to 2-1.

WSU got the run back in the third. Tanner Dearman was hit by a pitch with one out and stole second. Bayliff singled through the right side to score Dearman to put the Shocks up 3-1.

MU scored three runs in the sixth to take the 4-3 lead. Jake Ring led off with a single and moved to second on a fielder's choice. A walk to Logan Pearson loaded the bases with nobody out. Ring scored on a wild pitch to cut the lead to 3-2 and a single from Dylan Kelly drove in Eric Anderson to tie the game at three. The Tigers took the lead on a sacrifice fly from Josh Lester.

Gillaspie singled with one out in the eighth and moved to third on a single up the middle from Simpson. Tyler Baker's sacrifice fly to centerfield scored Gillaspie to tie the score at four.

The Tigers used two hits and two walks to score the winning run in the bottom of the 10th.

The Shockers are next in action on Fri., April 25 at Tulane at 6:30 p.m.
