WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State has signed on to compete in next fall's Orlando Classic, Nov. 26, 27 and 29, 2015 at the HP Field House, located at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla.
The eight-team field will also include Alabama, Dayton, Iowa, Notre Dame, Southern California, Xavier and one additional school to be named at a later date.
The 2015 tournament includes three games in four days. Quarterfinal round games will be played on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26 with winner's bracket and consolation bracket semifinals on Friday, Nov. 27. The championship game, along with third, fifth and seventh place matchups take place Sunday, Nov. 29.

In addition to the Shockers, Dayton, Iowa and Xavier were all 2014 NCAA Tournament qualifiers. Dayton advanced to the Elite Eight, and WSU earned a No. 1 seed.
The group figures to be strong again in 2014-15, with Dayton, Iowa and Notre Dame each receiving votes in latest Associated Press poll and WSU ranked No. 11.
WSU last competed in the Orlando Classic (formerly the Old Spice Classic) during the 2008-09 season. Next year's trip will mark the 10th consecutive year that WSU has competed in an exempt, in-season tournament.
The Shockers are slated to participate in the 2014 Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii. A year ago, WSU competed in Kansas City at the CBE Classic.
Including on-campus preliminary round games, the Shockers are 15-9 in seven previous tournaments under head coach Gregg Marshall and have posted eight consecutive wins and two straight tournament titles.
